The builders BEC construction are now on site and as you can see they have begun digging in earnest.  The build will be project managed by our Chartered Building Surveyors Godden, Allen, Lawn who will be working closely with the village hall project team.

December saw a number of preminiary steps taken including the relocation of the electricity supply, removal of asbestos from the toilets behind the stage, pollarding along the boundary to allow access, site clearance including the removal of the play equipment and the store, clearing out the inside of the hall and of course completion of due diligence on the paperwork.  Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the preparatory work.  

Drainage manholes have already been installed for the new kitchen.  Groundworks are underway so the site is both noisy and muddy.  Thank you to all affected for your unserstanding, we hope the weather will be kind so that progress can be made as swiftly as possible.
