The  community shop is complete and partial possession has been given to the Nailbourne Community Store Association. 

The contractor has been carrying out the internal works to the building this month, including second fix electric supply, new central heating pipes and internal plastering. External render has been applied and will be painted off-white. Sanitaryware carpets, entry mats and sliding doors have all been installed.

The programme is still on track to complete in mid-August.  Internally the village hall is nearing completion. There are some floor surfaces to be finished and decorating to complete.  The final elements of the mechanical and electrical installation and carpentry are almost complete, which will leave the external works as the last piece in the jigsaw.  

The shipping container that housed the community shop was removed from site on 24^th July. The community shop and post office began trading from the new building on Monday 27th July. 

Following completion of the building work on 7^th August  the main hall and Grabham Room floors are to be sanded and sealed. Fixtures, fittings and equipment will be installed from 10^th to 28^th August. The first hall bookings have been taken from week beginning 31^st August.
