Work is on schedule as we enter the second month of the project.  Most of the work is still in the ground, laying trenches for the drainage and services.   You'll see from the photos that the old toilet block has been demolished in readiness for the new entrance space and meeting room.  On the other side, the trees which were originally pollarded have had to be removed as the roots were too large and would have quickly damaged the path which is to be laid allowing access to the rear.  

As you might expect there have been one or two surprises along the way.  One example is that we discovered the mains water pipe was badly corroded so we've been able to replace it.  

Towards the end of the month the concrete bases were laid for the front and side extensions.
