Book the Hall
Ready to make a booking? Here are the steps you need to take:
1. Browse our rooms and spaces and decide what is best for you.
2. View our availability
3. Read our terms of hire (found at the bottom of this page)
4. Click on the events calendar and select the date and room you would like to book. Then fill in the booking form when prompted.
5. Any issues placing your booking, or any questions you have, get in touch via barhamcommunityhall@hotmail.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hire Charges
To make our hall and rooms as affordable as possible, we charge by session rather than by hour.
- AM session is 9:30am - 1pm
- PM session is 2pm - 5:30pm
- Evening session is 6pm - end (please note evening sessions are not available on Sundays)

Terms and conditions of hire
Barham Village Hall is a no smoking and no vaping venue.
Capacity Limits (Main Hall)
- Seated at tables: 70
- Audience style: 80 + 20 performers
- Dancing/mixed events: Up to 100
Please respect these limits for safety and comfort.
What’s Not Allowed
- No sticky substances, pins, nails, or tape on walls or ceilings
- No smoke machines
- Non-marking sports shoes must be worn for sports activities
- No unauthorised advertising or fly posting
- No animals, except assistance dogs
Responsibilities of the Hirer
- Hirers must be 21+ and are responsible for:
- Safety, security, and cleanliness during and after the event
- Leaving the hall clean, tidy, and all rubbish removed
- Returning all furniture and equipment to its original place
- Ensuring fire exits are clear and emergency info is read
- Minimising noise—especially on arrival and departure
- Ensuring use only for the purpose stated in the booking
- Obtaining any necessary licenses (e.g., alcohol, music, public events)
- Complying with all safeguarding, insurance, and safety regulations
Payments & Cancellations
Hire fees and deposits are due 1 month before the event
Cancellations are charged as follows:
- 1 month notice: 10%
- 2 weeks: 20%
- Less than 1 week: 50%
Security Deposits
- A £100 refundable deposit is required for parties, events & weddings
- An additional £100 deposit applies if using the projector/screen
- Refunds are issued if the hall is left clean, undamaged, and all terms are followed
Noise & Respect for Neighbours
- Please keep doors/windows closed after 8pm
- All events must finish by 11:30pm (6pm for Sunday parties)
Accidents & Emergencies
- First Aid kits are available in both kitchens
- Accidents must be reported to the booking administrator & recorded in the Accident book (in the Main kitchen & the smaller kitchenette)
- The fire assembly point is in the car park by the bowling green
- Fire exits are clearly marked—please make yourself familiar upon arrival
